Brazil Serra Perola Negra
Serra Perola Negra is a name created many years ago by a specialty coffee pioneer in Brazil, working with individual fazendas, and co-ops promoting transparency. His vision was to create a lot that would be ensuring a specific taste and quality consistency year after year. It is one of the most consistent cups from Brazil we’ve ever found.
With notes of milk chocolate and nuts, this coffee is prepared in an outstanding mill in Pocos de Caldas. The outcome of well done processing means fewer defects, very good size consistency and not overheating the beans. During the removal of the parchment before export keeps the bean tasting “fresh “ longer in its green form. What all this means on our side is that the roast will be even and we have better control achieving the perfect roasting profile, which brings out the best of Brazil’s innate flavors to the cup. This coffee has lots from South Minas, Matas de Minas and Cerrado.
